Apricot Dreams

Behind the brushstrokes of Apricot Dreams lies a glimpse of my childhood, where in the peak of an orchard harvest, as a child, I was wowed by the soft delicate and sweet flesh of the apricot. 

On closer observation, what seemed like a luxury in my hand, was ample, weighing down entire branches of trees and later showing up as preserved and bottled desserts.

Apricots are fun to paint, as their soft texture allow for no firm lines or harsh colours. Instead, I've invited them to bounce off a turquoise background, hanging gracefully among my signature sponge pattern that fades into the trees behind.
